Divi Resorts
Overview:
We have chosen the Divi Resorts to host our wedding. They offer 4 properties (all within walking distance of each other) with various accommodation options to suit different needs.
However, we would like to make clear that there is no obligation to stay with the Divi Resorts. The great thing about Aruba is that it is a small island, so staying at one of the other resorts or even an Airbnb are viable options. At the end of the day, we know this is a vacation for you too, so we want you to book the accommodation that works best for you.

A Note about All-Inclusive
All 4 resorts can be booked as all-inclusive, only 2 can be booked without the all-inclusive option. We are listing the resorts where the all-inclusive is optional first (Divi Golf & Divi Dutch). These are our top recommendations based on overall value. The only caveat is that these two properties do not feature ocean front suites.
If you don’t opt for all-inclusive:
There are four restaurants at the golf resort that are excellent in addition to a few more at the Alhambra Casino and shops a short walk away. In addition, the capital of Aruba, Oranjestad is a short 10 min cab ride south and is full of very cool restaurants and bars, as is Palm Beach which is a short 10 minutes north ($10 per cab ride).
On our recent 1 week trip to Aruba, we did not opt for all inclusive. We ate very well, tried a variety of restaurants and spent about $1,000 less than had we opted for all inclusive. We did have to walk to the grocery store which is about a 10 minute away and had no ocean view, but our suite was huge!
If you do opt for all-inclusive:
There are 10 restaurants and 8 bars available on the resort and the food and drinks are really good 🙂 You get additional benefits on the all inclusive plan per below:
- Access to all of the fresh water pools at all 4 resorts.
- Premium Kids’ Club
- Non-motorized water sports activities and amenities such as snorkeling equipment, a snorkeling clinic, snorkeling tour, beginners’ windsurfing equipment and a “Learn to Windsurf ” beach clinic, catamarans, floats and kayaks
- Weekly water aerobics, yoga and Zumba classes
- 30-ft. rock climbing wall
- Bikes, beach volleyball, beach Olympics, bike tour, casino games master class
- Lighted tennis court
- Nightly entertainment, including rotating themed cuisine at buffet restaurants (Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive)
